This course is designed for anyone in the fields of Business & Industry Crisis Intervention\, Disaster Response\, Education\, Emergency Services\, Employee Assistance\, Healthcare\, Homeland Security\, Mental Health\, Military\, Spiritual Care\, and Traumatic Stress. \nProgram Highlights: \n\nPsychological crisis and psychological crisis intervention\nResistance\, resiliency\, recovery continuum\nCritical incident stress management\nEvidence-based practice\nBasic crisis communication techniques\nCommon psychological and behavioral crisis reactions\nPutative and empirically-derived mechanism\nSAFER-Revised model\nSuicide intervention\nRelevant research findings\nLarge group crisis interventions\nSmall group crisis interventions\nAdverse outcomes associated with crisis intervention\nCritical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD)\n\nAbout the Presenter\, Dan Clark\nWashington State Patrol Department Psychologist\, Dr. Daniel W. Clark\, Ph.D.\, serves as a licensed clinical psychologist\, providing clinical services to Washington State Patrol (WSP) employees and their family members. He teaches at the WSP Academy\, provides psychological screening of trooper cadet applicants and consults with command staff on Agency issues. Dr. Clark has studied suicide for over 30 years\, and has presented hundreds of hours on the topic from conference presentations to 2-day workshops.
