SUMMARY:Gone Too Soon: Remembrance Event
DESCRIPTION:Tri-Cities Chaplaincys’ Gone Too Soon grief group is hosting the annual Remembrance event for those who have lost a child at any stage of pregnancy or infancy. This event is being held at Events at Sunset\, 915 Bypass Hwy\, Richland from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. \n\nArrival: Participants can park close to the Event Center. Then\, check-in at the registration tables. Families can gather in the grassy areas for the balloon release.\nRegister: Please find the registration tables up front where they register your name & contact information\, and baby’s name. You will also receive your gift bag.\nBaby’s Name: We will write down the name of the baby you are remembering so we can speak their name at the time of the release. If you did not name your baby\, (early miscarriage\, or for personal reasons)\, you may write\, for instance\, ‘baby -your last name-‘ or however you would like.\nGift bag: Everybody gets a gift bag. Look for the remembrance ribbon: it is a gift from support group Momma Heidi\, Marlee’s mom.\nBalloons: Everybody receives a balloon for each baby being remembered. Our balloons are ECO-friendly (see note*). Write the baby’s name or a message to your baby on the balloon. Please hang on to the balloon till release time.\nCandle: On October 15\, there is a Worldwide Candle lighting at 7 p.m.\, in honor of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day. There is a candle in your gift bag for you.\n  \nMusic                      – 4:30 pm – “Gone Too Soon”\nWelcome               – Aggie Mowry\nA Mother’s Story – “Fletcher’s Story” by Rebecca Smith-Hickey\nMusic                     – “Noah’s Song” by Kalina Bryan\nBlessing                 –  Chaplain Ondria\nBalloon Release – 5:00 pm – Reading of names. A chime will ring after each name. \n  \nTHANK YOU: Thank you\, Events at Sunset\, Rebecca Smith-Hickey\, Kalina Bryan\, Tyler & Eric Johnson (sound)\, Oxarc Inc\, Jim Hall\, Heidi Pickard\, and volunteers from the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy\, Kadlec\, Trios\, and our community. \n*Note – Eco-friendly balloons: they are latex and will biodegrade in 6 months. Also\, we do not use curling ribbon as this does not biodegrade and entangles with wildlife. We use 12” pieces of sisal to hold the balloons.
