HOSPICE HOUSE
Hospice patients receive the best care from the comfort of their own home. For patients who experience uncontrolled pain or symptoms, our Hospice House is available to provide short-term 24-hour nursing care.
Located in Kennewick, WA, our Hospice House was built through generous community support in 1996 and is the only Hospice House in Benton and Franklin Counties. The Hospice House has 10 private rooms, where patients and their families can receive care in a comfortable, home-like setting when home is not an option.
Appropriate Use of the Hospice House
Pain and Symptom Management
The Hospice House provides a higher level of medical care to hospice patients during periods of uncontrolled pain and/or symptom management. A discharge plan is developed to return patients to their homes.
Care During Transitions
The Hospice House can be utilized to allow patients and families a few days to transition between care settings, such as between a hospital and home.
Temporary Respite Care
The Hospice House can provide temporary respite care. Respite care allows relief to caregivers.
The Hospice House does not provide long-term care services for hospice patients. We work with community partners to provide residential services should they be needed.
