Shannon Novakovich, Director of Human Resources for Chaplaincy Health Care, has earned the HR Certification Institute’s (HRCI) Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) Certification. The SPHR is the senior-most human resources certification, which demonstrates an individual’s mastery of the HR body of knowledge. This includes strategic and policy-making aspects of HR management as practiced in the U.S.
Prior to earning her SPHR, Novakovich held Professional Human Resources (PHR) credentialing from HRCI as well as SHRM-CP (Society Human Resources Management – Certified Professional) certification. Strict professional experience and educational qualifications are required prior to sitting for the certification exam. The SPHR certification has only a 50% pass rate nationally and focuses on:
- Business Management and Strategy
- Human Resources Development
- Workforce Planning and Employment
- Employee and Labor Relations
- Compensation and Benefits
- Risk Management
“Shannon has continually proven herself to be a strategic thinker and a key asset to Chaplaincy Health Care while serving on our executive team,” stated Gary Castillo, Executive Director for Chaplaincy Health Care. “Shannon’s attainment of her SPHR certification demonstrates her commitment to the mastery of human resources doctrine for the benefit of our organization and our stakeholders as well as her own professional development. We are all very proud of her accomplishment.”
HRCI is the premier credentialing organization for HR professionals in the
U.S. and around the world. For each of its certifications, HR Certification
Institute (HRCI) seeks and maintains accreditation from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). HR professionals in over 100 countries have earned HRCI credentials as a mark of high distinction and honor in the human resource management field.
